24-hour security at Home Plus Group, Walsgrave
- Coventry
- Eight-person team
- 24-hour cover
- Visitor and vehicle access
Guards 247 provides ongoing security cover at Home Plus Group's large site in Walsgrave, Coventry. A dedicated team of eight guards works across the shift rota to provide a presence 24 hours a day.
With up to 150 people able to work on the site at any one time, the role goes beyond watching an entrance. Our guards manage access, record arrivals and departures, carry out patrols and support the site's 24-hour truck parking facility.
Managing access throughout the day and night
The team signs visitors in and out and manages vehicle movements through the barriers. These duties keep access control part of the site's everyday operation, during working hours and overnight.
Our responsibilities include:
- Signing visitors in and out.
- Managing site barriers and vehicle access.
- Carrying out regular site patrols.
- Supporting access and parking management for the 24-hour truck parking facility.
- Using GPS Guard Management to support oversight of the guards.
A dedicated team across the rota
Eight guards make up the team providing round-the-clock cover. This is the team across the rota, with shifts arranged to maintain the site's security presence.
The work combines gatehouse duties with an active role around the site. Visitor records, barrier management and patrols are practical parts of the same service, supported by management oversight and reporting.
